Andreas Christensen has reached the European Championships quarter finals after Denmark smashed Wales 4-0 in Amsterdam.
The Danes continued their superb form since losing their opening game, where Christian Eriksen had a heart attack on the pitch. In the last game Christensen fired home a brilliant drive to help them on their way to victory, this afternoon he was solid at the back as they kept Aaron Ramsey and Gareth Bale at bay.
Denmark seem to be a “team of destiny” in this tournament after what happened to Eriksen – and they have the neutrals’ backing. We wouldn’t want to face them now, as they ride a wave of emotion towards the final.
On Twitter, plenty of Chelsea fans were watching Christensen in action, and praised his calm showing at the back.
