Cristiano Ronaldo thanked supporters on social media for voting for him after winning both the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year and Goal of the Season honours for the 2021/22 season.

Ronaldo was in brilliant form during his first season back at the club, scoring 24 goals across all competitions and finishing third in the Premier League’s golden boot race. It’s no surprise that he was a clear winner in our Player of the Year poll, which was announced on Saturday.
The 37-year-old was named our Goal of the Season winner on Sunday for his long-range rocket against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford in March. That was the start of what would turn out to be another hat-trick for the Portuguese legend.

Both awards were chosen by fans, and they add to an already impressive list of individual honors.
