Chelsea’s captain César Azpilicueta used all his experience to put pressure away from the real penalty-taker Kai Havertz, as he pretended to be shooter to absorb the distractions by Palmeiras.
This has described as a terrific moment of brilliance, by fans and pundits alike, but ex-Middlesbrough boss, Neil Warnock was highly critical of our captain saying, “He is not a great defender, he’s just too lucky.”
These comments on the first ever Chelsea player to win every trophy available wasnt recieved nicely by most, with John Terry and Cesc Fabregas hitting back to rightly rubbish Warnock’s claims.
Terry was smart to tweet “Is this a wind up?” while Fabregas used a series of comical emojis to jump in favor of Azpilicueta, who helped Havertz to have a Cool mind before taking the spot kick.

Azpilicueta’s future though, is something that is of a worry for us, with his contract up in the Summer.
Apart from Barcelona, the favourites to sign the 32-year old, he is now on the radar of Bayern Munich, who is looking at him as a solution at right-back.
It’s not hard to think Azpilicueta’s dream would be to stay and retire as a Blue, we just have to agree on a contract with him, to see him shining as a Chelsea star for few more years atleast.
